This quote from Jeff Bezos really makes a great point about a brand, and it’s how we represent our brand that helps to shape what people do say when “you’re not in the room”.
As we are all a reflection of the brands we represent, it’s critical that we take stock in what makes a brand and pay close attention to the details that best align your brand with your brand promise. We’ve all been asked the question about what our company does, and whether you can concisely answer or not, the answer you give is a window into one’s brand perception. But, it’s not just about the elevator pitch, you must also live the brand, and that’s where we all have the opportunity be brand ambassadors and drive consistent application of all brand guidelines.
As this blog is being constructed we’re in the midst of a brand change for Saleslogix, including new logos, colors, and other elements, so this is a perfect opportunity for us to do a brand check, and ensure brand consistency.
Here are some things to think about as you do a brand check:
What does my company do?
Does my website tell my brand story?
Does everyone (employees, partners, etc.) have all current brand elements (logos, fonts, etc.) represented in applicable places?
