Concurrent Licences

Status: New
by Copper Contributor on ‎06-04-2013 11:45 PM

When a customer has a concurrent licence there is no way of knowing if a single user is signed in more than once.

We would like to see in administrator the count reflecting not only amount of users (concurrent) signed in but a way of seeing if a user is logged in multiple times thus using more than one licence.

We have a customer who has this exact problem and if they do get close to using all of their concurrent licence the user count can show incorrectly.

Thank you

Automatically open result record

Status: New
by Silver Contributor on ‎11-21-2013 06:17 AM

If you search for something in slx and only get one result back, it would be nice to automatically open that record.

This would save the user a click.

And if you make this realy great, you put in an option for this, so each user can enable or disable this feature.

We need an update service just like Microsoft has for Windows (and other installed MS products).

Basically there would be a master update server at Sage SalesLogix where QA releases "snippit" style updates on a regular basis. Customer sites would have a "SalesLogix Update Server" which communicates with the master update server and authenticates the customer server (this ties into Maintenance renewal and customerID  plus a unique "key" issued to the update server for authentication.

Changes/updates would land on the customer server and be "released" by the local SalesLogix admin.

Configure default operator for lookup properties

It would be great to configure a default operator for each lookup property we insert into a lookup.

Import word templates into Saleslogix

Status: New
by Silver Contributor on ‎08-20-2013 02:30 AM

We often get the question if it is possible to import existing word templates into SalesLogix.

currently this is not possible. You can only do ctrl+a, ctrl+c and ctrl+v.

But this is no solution if you want to keep your formating.

So if you move mail merge to the server, please allow us to import existing word templates.

User Configurable Report Builder

by Bronze Elite Contributor on ‎11-02-2009 04:07 AM
A true drag n drop interface that empowers end users to create reports as needed. No Crystal. No Listviews. A simple to use enduser tool that makes them take notice when we demo it.

Please bring back GotoSLX !

Status: New
by Silver Super Contributor on ‎09-20-2014 05:17 PM
See here for reasoning: It's very much a missed feature. Whilst xbar has the functionality it requires (a) installing and (b) for customers to want to use it. When GotoSLX was available it was part of slmn.dll (not slxotlXX.dll) so was always installed. Would be great if the feature could be restored. Thanks!

Recommended Hotfix Guide

Status: New
by on ‎08-09-2013 08:01 AM

I personally would like to see a post here and in the knowledge base that described the all current hotfixes in one document and which are recommended and which are superseded and which are optional or situation specific. I personally found the knowledgebase and the file repository a little difficult to query  and never could get just a list of what I was looking for.  A sticky post which was updated regularly would be nice.

SLX 8.1 Outlook Integration customisibility

Status: New
by Copper Contributor on ‎04-29-2013 01:45 AM

As it currently is not known to us to what extent The Outlook Integration will be customisable on SalesLogix 8.1 (Trinity), We think it would be a good idea to get this on the roadmap for this version. In particular, we would like to see the ability to reference customised entities, add icons to the toolbar, customise the insert/edit screen to change the data shown & icons available.

In Exchange link activities synced from non SLX users have the leader set to Admin, this means users cannot edit the activities to set the relevant leader or tie up to the Account\Contact.

I would like to see an option in either Exchange Link or Admin where we could define a specific user that should be set as the leader of activities from non SLX users.

So in the scenario you are using BI Directional sync for activities in EL, you set the user Lee Hogan to be the leader on activities received from non SLX users.

All activities from non SLX users then have Lee Hogan as the leader, we can then use existing functionality so users can edit the activities, set the relevant leader and tie up to the correct Account\Contact.

Currently with Admin as the leader of the activities it is unmanageable.

I would like to see the feature added to Send email to multiple contact within an account.

You can do this in the LAN version but cannot do it in the WEB version.

In LAN you can go to write menu and send email to multiple contacts for the account.

If you do the same in the web you can only send to one contact.

If you use the email option, again it only sends to one contact.

Can we please have this feature in the WEB version.

"Outside-In" Front Office Business Process Consultants (Not Lean or Six Sigma people)

 This should incorporate

- The ability to graphically design a process

- Build business rules without writing code

- Give high level users the ability to see what's at each graphical stage of the process

- Give workers a dashboard of work to be performed for each process, at each stage

- The ability to automate supporting work processes (You know, the things people do in cubicles, where each step or stage lands for a time)

- The ability to track defects (i.e., handoff failures, overdue stuff, etc)

- The ability to workflow efficiency

- The ability to tie back into loyalty metrics (discussed separately - and coming soon)

Oh, I'm not talking about Process Orchestration, so don't remind me about that. And, while I love TaskCentre, we need something truly integrated so our prospects say WOW, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?

It would be nice to have an option in query builder to switch from display names for tables and columns to the original names in the database.

This could be accomplished with a simple check box name "technical view" or similar.

The default should be the current behavious, i.e. to show the display names ("end user mode").

This would be very helpful for admins or consultants in heavily customized or - more important - localized versions of the client to "translate" the users intent expressed in domain model names into the "real" world of the underlying database and would make much easier to find tables and columns in SSMS if needed.

If considered, this option should be present in LAN as well as in web.

For 13+ years (including today), SalesLogix has used a method of adding/dropping fields (via the db manager) that has involved several steps:

   A – Renames theoriginal table to xtempx_TableName

B – Create the newtarget table but it has no data

C – Adds the newfield to the new target table

D – Copies the databack from the xtempx_ table to the new table

   E – Deletes thextempx_ table

This method was employed for several reasons:

A - the "BDE" (Borland Database Engine)  <- No longer exists as of SalesLogix v6.0

B - Early SQL server did not support "Alter Table, Alter Column <- It does now as (Oracle does too)

C - The "SalesLogix Provider did not support the "Alter" command  <- Does as of SalesLogix v6.2.6 (maybe slightly earlier.. but it does not matter)

All the reasons to NOT do it the short and sweet way no longer exist.

Doing it the "long" way has caused many problems over the years and is a lurking "time bomb".

We just tripped into this on a (large) customer site where there are TaskCentre (controlled) SQL Triggers that are used for initiating Tasks/WorkFlows. As soon as a field is added/dropped (via the SalesLogix DB manager) , the trigger is "left behind" on the xtempx_ table.

This not only will happen w/TaskCentre managed SQL Triggers but also w/ANY triggers one may have setup against their SalesLogix database.

Setting Entity.Property type = Picklist

Status: New
by Employee on ‎02-03-2010 03:48 PM

There are various entity properties in the out of box (OOB) product where the entity is listed as Text type when it should ideally be Picklist.

I would like to see the  OOB product entities updated so that all properties that should be picklist type are set to picklist type with picklist name defined as well as other picklist type related properties.

Justification for effort:

The present AA tool and related solution technologies heavily leverage meta-data and are a clear argument for the value of good meta-data.  Meta-data is only useful if it is consistently defined and if it is correctly defined.

I definitely do not wish to see any suppression of warning levels, etc.

Just a little cleanup refinement request please.

Would it be possible for a future version of AA to set the process threading model to whatever the .Net compiler would be happier with so that we do not have these distracting warding msgs in the Build Log Window.

There are 9 warnings for the same thing presented when I do a Ctrl-Build of  Web Platform.

Similarly - there are a few other warnings that might be able to be taken care of  by making some small tweak to a few source files (ContactLeadSource.cs, OpportunityCompetitor.cs, Ticket.cs)

I rely on the build warnings to tell me if I've possibly done anything a bit wrong - not an uncommon thing for me Smiley Very Happy and the other warnings are distracting. I am afraid I am developing a habit of to looking very closely due to the noise.

Save signed mails to slx

Status: New
by Silver Contributor on ‎10-30-2009 07:24 AM

We see signed email more and more often.

At the moment it is not possible to save a signed email to slx's history.

The only way you can get this in is to drag & drop it but in this case you will only get an attachment  and no notes.

We need the functionality as more and more customers sign their mails to tell the recipients that the mail realy comes form them.

This also applies to the send slx feature.

Add meaningful activity/history reporting to the Infor CRM dashboards

Status: New
by Copper Contributor ‎11-21-2014 04:15 AM - edited ‎11-21-2014 04:26 AM

Infor CRM manages activities and historical account data very well. The ability now to record activities against multiple participants and the roles they play in the activity is very much a welcome move.

That being said, the ability to report on completed activities leaves much to be desired. Some semblance of old reports do exist but they don't reflect a full picture and look very dated. It would be great to be able to add dashboard content that dynamically show activities completed in selectable charts.

The ability for managers to quickly and easily see how busy their department has been by how many calls and meetings are being completed would put a huge amount of power in to their hands. At present, you can look at individual accounts and even build groups to display this data. These don't go far enough though.

Common reports might be:

- Completed activities by user filtered by date range, team and department. (Monthly, weekly and daily call volumes).

- Completed activities by activity type. Consisting of a chart that displays how many phone calls, meetings and to-do activities that have taken place for a configurable selection of users over a particular time span (again, daily, weekly, monthly). The ability to add a department, team and individual users would be fantastic!

- Completed activities by entity showing a breakdown of the number of calls made against leads, opportunities and contacts. This will allow managers to see where users are concentrating their efforts. It should be filterable by user, team, department and date range.

- Completed activities by Category. A breakdown of the activity category picklist allows an organisation to quickly see what types of activity are being completed and by whom. Should be filterable by user, team, department and date range.

- Number of outstanding activities by user. Should be able to be filtered by date range, whether to only display past due, the type of entity that it is and the department or team.

If anyone else has any other ideas for fantastic reports to add, I'd love to see them.

I've been asked this on three separate occasions by different customers. Their attitude toward the ability to do this is that the software should be able to do this out of the box, that other CRM systems are capable of doing this and they're bordering on disbelief that a CRM system as advanced as Infor CRM (or SalesLogix, it's going to take a while for that one to stick!) doesn't do this currently. It's certainly a feature that's lacking.

Merge Audit

Status: New

It would be nice if there was a merge/delete Audit so it would be able to track which account something was merged and also who did the merge/delete of an account.
