With 7.5.3, you can now merge duplicate contact and accounts in the web client. Users must have Administrator rights along with Delete rights for account/contact. I found that a user must also be on the team owning both records as the "Team Owner". This is a restriction my client doesn't want because the users that do the data maintenance have certain restriction on their field security profile that Team Owners do not. The web client should operate as the LAN client does and not restrict users to be the Team Owner when merging duplicates.
