Easy way to convert quickforms to custom smart parts

Comming from a discussion from the development board we found that we would realy like to have a more easier way to transfer a quickform to a custom smart part.

Idea is to do it directly from within AA so we can open it up in Visual Studio and work on it.

This would save us much time for those cases, where we need to go custom and can not stay within AA.

Yes, this is needed capability. Being able to use the basic GUI quickly and then quickly transform it into a "custom part" with one click would speed up development significantly.

As an addition - would like the generated/converted solution to use a separate ASCX and code behind ASCX.CS

 

Embedded AA feature should either delete or rename the QuickForm definition to avoid confusion where you have both a QuickForm and a CustomForm with the same name. Always a time waster during an upgrade and/or when stepping into someone elses project.
