Display Group Creator in Properties!!!

Ok, this seems really common-sensical to me, but is there any way that whoever created a group can be shown on the Properties tab?  We have a never-ending problem of people that release groups to Everyone instead of to their department/team and it tends to clutter up our screens and create a lot of work hiding groups.  If we could just send an email to the person who created the group, they could share to the correct people rather than everyone in the company having to hide it.

 

Or is there an easier way to do this?

This one annoyed me until I learned from another user that you can find out who created that group by right clicking on the group and selecting  "Manage Groups," then selecting "Access List".  It tells you who the owner is. 

 

In addition to your suggestion it would also make sense that when you get the warning message that you cannot delete a group because you are not the owner it should be kind enough to tell you who the owner is.
