Automatically set collation of remote db to server db's collation

Status: New
by Silver Contributor on ‎05-17-2010 03:12 AM

Hi All,

If you are creating a remote  database on a server with a different standard collation, than the one set in the SalesLogix database, you always have to manually set it right after you attached it to the client.

Can Sage please insert a spet which automatically sets the collation to the same collation, which the main database has?

This would save  time!

To add an additional comment to this, as per RJ's comment on another thread.

SalesLogix to add a "Change Collation to: (select collation here)" picklist to the cut remote gui.

Or SalesLogix should be more robust and allow multiple collations, or look at changing the remote db cut routine.
