Hi Folks,
I'm probably missing something obvious. But I'm trying to associate an existing opportunity with a new account. There doesn't seem to be a front-end way of doing this from the client. Does anyone know if there's another way to accomplish this?
I could just re-create the opportunity itself an associate with the desired account at that time. But there is quite a lot of data associated with this opportunity record.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Correct.. there's a bunch of things that "hook" the opportunity to a specific account. Plus.. if you have ANY types of remotes (Remote user/Office/disconnected) you will have to make changes in a manner that are synch friendly.. including a complete synch out of any/all associated records.
I'd suggest your "move opportunity" do a complete (re)create of the opportunity (and associated) record(s).. and then delete the "old one" - Best Practice way.
