We recently purchase a Window 7 desktop for our staff, and we are Saleslogix 220.127.116.117.
After the user input the user id/pw, the screen will show the Saleslogix main screen.
But take a very long time (about 10mins) to load the database (where we hv abt 5000 records).
In the XP desktop environment, it only took less than 5 seconds.
Can someone pls help - how can i resolve this.

We had customers trying to get it work under Vista or windows 7.
They all gave up. So just believe us, it is not supported and will not work correctly and if it does, you might get many errors which might also result in data loss or other issues.
Upgrade to 7.5.2 and you will be fine.

You have two (2) big issues here:
A - As Adam pointed out - the only version of Saleslogix that is supported for Windows 7 is 7.5.2
B - You are running an "unsupported" versions of SalesLogix that will never see an SP or HotFix to allow it to run Windows 7
FYI We tested various versions of (supported) SalesLogix (7.5.1, 7.5.0 and lower) with Windows 7 and found it to throw a lot of errors in the Calendar/activity/history area. It's all to do w/enumerations (for colors, etc) a lot of them are just not recognized (they are in the hard-code exe) by pre-7.5.2 Saleslogix on Windows7.
Time to upgrade or forget Windows 7 (and Vista).
