Will Help Files Really Help Me?

by KColonna on ‎06-13-2013 01:22 PM

Short answer:  Yes! We all know that Saleslogix has a great User Interface and it is easy to figure out – at a glance – where to find and enter your information. For example, if I want to enter a new Contact, I simply click on the icon – right click and then click on “New Account/Contact.” Thanks to a friendly User Interface, this is a quick and easy process – seldom would someone need to follow instructions to accomplish something this easy.

But, what if you get stuck trying to accomplish something slightly more complicated? For example, I want to understand the Widgets and figure out which ones would be useful to add to my Dashboard. Indeed, I want to figure out HOW to add those Widgets to my Dashboard. Well, this is where “Help” can really help me out. All I need to do is click on that little question mark icon at the top of the page and I get the help I need – it is even contextual to the area I am working in.

Just now, I clicked on the “Help” icon to tell me about Widgets and I got a readable and understandable write-up on how Widgets work, the types of Widgets available to me, and links to related topics, such as “Using Widgets.” This is exactly what I needed to build a dashboard that gets me the information I need to see and how I want to see it.

This is just one example! I know it can be tough to ask for help at times, but when you really need it, Saleslogix has the resources you need – and it is comprehensive and very … well, . . . helpful!

One of the things I always tell our #Saleslogix customers is.. before you call (and you can always call/email me #rjlSystems ;-) - check the help file(s). There's TONS of great stuff buried in them!
