After much anticipation, Saleslogix Sync for Gmail™ has its official launch today. What’s the best thing about it? You don’t know it’s there. It works silently in the background to make sure your work in Gmail is reflected in Saleslogix (and vice versa).
As mentioned in a previous post, the newest data synchronization for Saleslogix will integrate your Contacts, Calendar and Tasks. You can also select emails to save to contact history. Even your important attachments will be time stamped and added to your contact’s record.
Use the Saleslogix labels in Gmail to identify what should be synchronized. For emails, Saleslogix will let you know when it has been successfully recorded or if the email doesn’t have a matching contact. If the contact is not found, you can quickly use Google’s Contacts to add the missing information into Saleslogix and keep moving forward.
Since Gmail’s release to the general public in 2007, it has continued to rise in usage for both personal and enterprise customers. Meeting the IT needs for cost, infrastructure, stability and ease of use, it’s one of the best alternatives to Microsoft Exchange and has been heavily adopted in Europe for just those reasons. This means Saleslogix Sync for Gmail is a natural progression to our expanding markets.
And it’s a natural progression for our integrations. Utilizing our standardized sync service and OAuth, it seamlessly connects our SData endpoints to Google’s API. It works for cloud, on-premise and hybrid Saleslogix environments. Using SData’s RESTful web service, the sync engine also works to connect with other cloud and on-premise products. This dynamic infrastructure allows 3rd parties to link with Saleslogix without concerns of architecture changes in future upgrades. Plan to see many more integrations.
