Resetting an Admin password in Sage SalesLogix #SalesLogix

Occasionally in SalesLogix support we get the request to change the Administrator password of a customer’s database. This poses many risks/concerns for both the owner of the SalesLogix database and SalesLogix support and has been handled many different ways in the past. In an effort to make the process as safe and secure as possible, SalesLogix support management staff have written the following process for our Analysts to follow…


  1. Support Analyst will send “Reset Admin Password SOW” document for requester to complete
  2. Once the “Reset Admin Password SOW” document is completed and sent to the Analyst
  • Analyst will coordinate with Support Management to arrange for payment with the requester (payment must be in   advance of any work being done)

3.  Requester Uploads the database to the Analyst

4.  Sage applies the script

5.  Analyst  will upload the database back to the requester



  • This script is confidential and may not be shared outside of Sage
  • The script may not be run remotely
  • Maximum expected turnaround is 1 business day
  • Flat charge of $200
