Sometimes, I think my Smartphone is an extension of my hand. Truly, I have a hard time putting it down. Second only to my Smartphone is my Tablet – that thing follows me just about everywhere. While I use them to stay connected to friends and family as well as to remain informed about happenings around the world, I also use them to stay connected to the office. I can check my email, look at my schedule, and stay productive with Sage SalesLogix.
Directly from my mobile device – any mobile device (mine just happens to start with an “i”) – I can work with my Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Leads, and even stay on track with the Calendar function.
Let’s say that I have lunch with one of my customers and while we are enjoying our favorite gourmet hamburgers, he starts telling me about how their office is expanding to a new location AND they are hiring additional people. This is great news and could lead to new business! I ask if we can meet to discuss how my company could help with that expansion and could we check our schedules. Now, how awkward would it be to dig in my briefcase, pull out my laptop, wait for it to boot up … Plus, then I would have to discreetly enter information about the new Opportunity without him noticing and disrupting the flow of conversation. With Sage SalesLogix Mobile, I can quickly (and discreetly) check my calendar, set the appointment, update the notes, and create a new Opportunity!
With the latest release of Mobile on Sage SalesLogix v8.0, I can also add an Event (such as a Tradeshow) and Recurring Activities (lunch with my favorite customer every second Friday of the month).
