Did you know?

Welcome to the dog days of summer…  As a heat wave sweeps the northeast which rivals the temperatures usually reserved for the desert southwest you may find yourself “dragging” a bit.  Stay inside, enjoy the air conditioning, pop open a cold one and just wait for some cooler temperatures to get here…  Right; what a waste of summer!  Get out and soak it up.  Sit by the pool, push your kids on the swing – anything that doesn’t take much effort anyway.  After all, it’s too hot!

The same can be said for your CRM implementation after a while.  You may have slipped into the dog days of CRM.  It’s too risky to do anything new, too expensive to migrate to the web, and it’s not the right time to ask the executives for any additional money.  Right; what a waste of CRM!  Today I’m going to blog about simple things to do that are low / no cost and have a big impact.

  • Did you know you can migrate to the web client for Sage SalesLogix in stages?  That’s right; there is no need to migrate all at once.  In fact, if you have a web server available you could begin migrating your customizations today and not even affect existing users in your LAN or Remote implementation.
  • Did you know Sage has a migration toolkit that dramatically reduces the time necessary to recreate your existing LAN customizations in the Sage SalesLogix web platform?
  • Did you know Sage SalesLogix v7.5.3 makes it easier than ever to create new, powerful, data driven charts on the Sage SalesLogix Welcome Page?  If you can build a group in Sage SalesLogix, you can create a chart based on that group – no developer needed.
  • Did you know KnowledgeSync by Vineyardsoft has a simple mechanism available to display alerts / notifications directly within your Sage SalesLogix Welcome Page?  If you already own KnowledgeSync, I encourage you to check it out.  If not, please investigate as this is a low cost, high impact solution.
  • Did you know that Sage’s CRM division has been running Sage SalesLogix in the Amazon Cloud since January of this year?  We are thrilled with the performance and stability.  If you want to eliminate IT / hardware costs and have your Sage SalesLogix delivered on-demand sign up to be a Cloud Watcher for more information to migrate your on-premise implementation to the Sage SalesLogix Cloud.
  • Did you know Sage SalesLogix Mobile is an extremely powerful tool that would allow your organization to start utilizing Sage SalesLogix in everything they do?  Think about how often you are using your phone for email, directions, information, etc.  Put the power of SalesLogix on there as well and see just how much email activity you have been missing on your reports.
  • Did you know White Springs has integration available to bring Miller Heiman integration directly into your Sage SalesLogix environment?  If your organization has standardized on Miller Heiman sales methodology, bring that power inside of your Sage SalesLogix system and consolidate your reporting.

I could go on and on with my list.  Sage SalesLogix is a highly configurable tool with endless possibilities and a ton of add-on solutions.  Embrace your dog days of CRM and take the opportunity to deliver some very high impact solutions for your users at little to no cost.  Then, sit back and enjoy the rest of your summer – winter will be here before you know it…

I am especially interested in following up on the point made below:

Did you know Sage SalesLogix v7.5.3 makes it easier than ever to create new, powerful, data driven charts on the Sage SalesLogix Welcome Page?  If you can build a group in Sage SalesLogix, you can create a chart based on that group – no developer needed.

Is this capability only available in the web client?  Where can I find additional documentation?

Thanks,

Perry Cooper
