QueMessage Error

Hi All,

 

Has anyone come across the below error message before when trying to use Outlook through SalesLogix:

 

QueMessage:

Unable to initialize e-mail client interface. Verify your configuration and try again.

 

I have tried the following to resolve it to no avail:

 

  • Unregistered/ReRegistred slmn.dll and slxab32.dll (also, I have ensured they are the correct version)
  • Run a detect and repair in Outlook and SalesLogix
  • Checked to ensure the Email Profile name within Windows matches SalesLogix - Email Profile name

Outlook 2003 SP3

Check this machine is not (or has never had) the Microsoft Exchange tools installed. As that installs a different mapi32.

Rename the c:\windows\system32\mapi32.dll to mapi32.old (fixmapi doesn't work any more)
Copy the mapi32.dll from C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 to c:\windows\system32 (or any other machine that has the same OS/Office etc)
