To have the ability to create a network build for the Administrator installation

I know that the current development cycle has a Web administrator coming and that is fantastic!  There are still a good number of SalesLogix clients that have Network related component in their implementations.  Some have both web and network implementations.  With larger implementations, the Administrative Role requires that the Administrator be installed on multiple workstations.

 

I would love to have an option to install the Administrator via a build process so that it can be installed on Administrative workstations already patched to the current service pack level that has a client installed also.   

 

This would avoid the install the administrator, install the client, apply the Service Pack and Hot Fix patches again.  (it would also avoid the I installed the patched client first, then tried to install the Administrator and received the "C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\SLXNetExtensionsInstall.exe" error that can be avoided, with a simple rename of the file, but if the order of the install order in the procedure doesn't matter even less errors to make.

don't forget the 'bug' I found (and reported) when using a non Client Install Hot Fix with a new .OCX file....it didn't install on the ADMIN\architect workstation....but did install on the Client's and Developer's workstations.....if you remoted in to the Admin\architect workstation (actually a VMWare) and developed forms there, it used one set of .OCX controls....which proved incompatible with the client side workstations.....SLX went kerblooie when you opened up SLX on a client workstation with a noncompatible OCX plugin\form.....
