SalesLogix Mobile - Allow users to clear a lookup control

Status: New
by Copper Super Contributor on ‎12-30-2011 12:45 PM

I noticed today that users aren't able to clear lookup controls on the SalesLogix Mobile client. I ran into a situation where I needed this functionality, so I created a modified LookupField.js file to handle it. I would like to see this, or something like it, included in the mobile client in the future. I have attached my modified version for all to use.

Note: If you wish to use this you will need to set the new property "allowClear" to true.

You can add: `requireSelection: false` in the createLayout of your edit view to add a "None" option in the lookup that will clear and return.

However, this has a side affect of making the input box in the Edit view *not* readonly -- which may be undesirable as the user is then able to type into the box versus choose a selection. Meaning something like the attached solution should be added, or maybe a hybrid option that adds the None option but leaves it readonly.
