SLX: Put complete activity in "rollbackable" transaction

Status: New
by Bronze Super Contributor nrice on ‎12-12-2012 01:20 PM

Added a standardid to both activity and history.  Created a Child M:1 relationship on each.

Activity insert/edit works fine.

Complete activity fails because the code attempts to copy the new standardid field instead of the object.

Sage.Platform.DynamicMethod.DynamicMethodException: An exception occurred executing the dynamic method Activity.Complete. ---> System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Invalid index 29 for this OleDbParameterCollection with Count=29.

I rewrote my code so that I did not need the History relationship.  The problem I noticed while running SLX profiler is that the activity is ultimately deleted before history is inserted with no code to rollback the delete if something fails along the way.  This is very very bad.  This causes dataloss.

Either insert the History record prior to deleting activity or come up with a method to rollback completing activity if something fails.
