Provide an additional level of activity record synchronization filtering

Status: New

In the Workgroup Administrator>User Profile>Sync tab, under the option of "Sync Activity Records for", there are threeavailable options:

All Users

Calendars this user has access to

This user only

When "This User Only" is the selected option, activities are synchronized to remote users for any accounts to which theremote users is subscribed, even if the activities do not include the remoteuser as an attendee/organizer. This can result in a significant amount ofunnecessary sync traffic for remote users. Please provide an additional levelof filtering in order to restrict activity synchronization to only those userswho are attendees/the organizer.

Good idea.. and...

Based on (constant) issues that we have seen w/sync over the past 11 years, I'd like to see a full capability to re-syncronize anything  and everything. This could be a simple as full resync of an Account and ALL associated records (as provided for in global joindata) or just send out a specific Activity or History record.

We need to have the choice of having the TEF(s) go out as "UPDATES" or "INSERTS". For those who really understand the guts of sync you know exactly what I'm talking about here.

Agreed RJ although I would suggest that your other recommendation related to Sync be posted as a new Idea so that it can be reviewed judged independently of this one. It will certainly get Kudos from me Smiley Happy
