Suggest that the Account "Owner" (team) field name, be changed to Account "Team" - Account Manager and Account Owner are often synonomous and having both of them as field names can be confusing when they both represent something different wihtin SLX - the Account Manager "owns" the account - a "Team" has access to and works together on an account.

The COMPANY owns the account, not the Salesmen or account executive.
SLX ownership had \ has more to do with who gets to see the records....i.e. SECCODEID and Team.....
An Account Manager doesn't 'own' the account, (neither does the Regional nor Divisional Managers). They are assigned the account or handle the account......they don't OWN the account.
or is that too many decades of selling through large organizations like GE and Hubbell.....
You are assigned a territory, and a list of account's to handle\work\sell\support....but you don't 'own' them.
I agree - I've encountered many organizations where the term "Owner" implied something in their corporate culture. The feature in SLX is about access to records, not necessarily authority or responsibility for managing the real-world entity that cooresponds to those records.
For some implementations we have changed the lable to "Visibility" or some variation like that - something more descriptive of the record access functionality and less accidentally implying a business role.
