Automatically Refresh the Ticket window instead of having to press f5

Status: New

It would sure be nice if there was a way to automatically refresh the ticket list at a certain user defigned time interval instead of having to press f5.

simular to the way MS outlook does the AUtomatic send and receive every X minutes.

Completely agree! This was highlighted by one of our customers but we managed to fix this with a line of code. Message me and I'll see if I can dig this out for you. It should be doing this OOTB though and function in the same way as the rest of the system.

I would LOVE to get that if you have it.  I have a customer that is struggling with just this and have not taken any time to dig into it....

Hi, sorry for the late reply I didn't realise you had responded. Here's what we did:

Access the Insert New Ticket form and scroll right to the bottom. You'll see a section that looks like this:

    Application.MainViews.AddEx "System:Ticket Details", 1, True, 1, strTicketID, ""  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Account:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Contact:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Contract:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    SendAssignedToEmail
    SendStatusChangeEmail
    frmNewTicket.Parent.Close

End Function

Simply add the following line before the End Function:

application.MainViews.ActiveView.Refresh

So your code should look like this:

    Application.MainViews.AddEx "System:Ticket Details", 1, True, 1, strTicketID, ""  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Account:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Contact:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    RefreshTabMiddleViews "Contract:Tickets", "grdTickets"  'DNL
    SendAssignedToEmail
    SendStatusChangeEmail
    frmNewTicket.Parent.Close

    application.MainViews.ActiveView.Refresh
End Function

This worked for us.
