using javascript dialog / alert boxes to take input

So we can use display alerts in in saleslogix using javascript alert and WebClientMessageService to dislay messages boxes in saleslogix.

<script type="text/javascript">

function launchCoolAlert(){
var msgSvc = Sage.Services.getService('WebClientMessageService');
msgSvc.showClientMessage('My title', 'My <i>super</i> <font color=red>SalesLogix</font> message</br>Line <b>breaks</b> too!', 'return false;', '') ;

}
</script>

However would it be possible to take input using a javascript alert/dialog boxes for the saleslogix entity ?

Re: using javascript dialog / alert boxes to take input

In SalesLogix 8.0 you can use the Sage.UI.Dialogs.raiseInputDialog() method (or raiseInputDialogExt()).

Example:

            handleAddFolder: function (button, event) {
                Sage.UI.Dialogs.raiseInputDialog(
                    Sage.Library.FolderHandler.resources.NewFolder,
                    Sage.Library.FolderHandler.resources.EnterFolderName,
                    Sage.Library.FolderHandler.handleAddFolderCallback,
                    Sage.Library.FolderHandler.resources.OK,
                    Sage.Library.FolderHandler.resources.Cancel
                );
            }

Thanks

Mike
