SLX Profiler does not show SalesLogix Web App

7.5.2

My SLX app pool is standard configuration: ProcessHost, sdata, SlxClient, running as WebDLL

However when I load SLX Profiler my SLX application is not available for profiling. Every other web app on the server is, however.

Correct.. you have to profile "all Applications" to grab the web.

Re: SLX Profiler does not show SalesLogix Web App

Sorry, but this doesn't make any sense to me. The only listed available application is SyncService. If I choose to Profile App Applications,  I can't move anything over to the Selected Applications pane.

If I just choose Sync Service, nothing gets profiled.

Re: SLX Profiler does not show SalesLogix Web App

On the lower left corner of the SlxProfiler there is a checkbox.. "Profile all applications" - check it and click on OK

FYI:

You have to do this on the Web Server.

Only apps that have already made a connection to the SalesLogix db (on THE system where the profiler is being run) show up in the Available Applications.

Re: SLX Profiler does not show SalesLogix Web App

OK. What's throwing me (I followed your instructions the first time) is that the SQL Log is showing completely empty. I am trying to watch queries - the only thing being populated is the User Log and All Messages (with User Log messages).

I've started Query Optimizer and Log4net. How can I watch the SQL being generated on each request?
