I created a new SLX Boolean field on Contact - to be used as another 'Do Not ...' field,
I went through 'Update Properties' and added the new checkbox to the Contact Details form. However, when I try to save a 'true' value, I get the following error:
String or binary data would be truncated.
Similarly, if I try to access a contact for whom the underlying checkbox value is already set to 'T', I get the following error:
'StringConverter' is unable to convert 'System.String' to 'System.Boolean'.
If I look at the database column definitions, I see that the existing 'Do Not ...' fields are all char(1), whereas my SLX Boolean fields was created as a varchar(1) by DB Manager. Could this be the problem? What's the best way of fixing this up?

You need to change the data type on the entity's field to True/False.
In AA - Double click the Entity, find the field that is storing the boolean, and change from "String" to "True/False" under the "Data Type" column.
