International Language support

Has anyone worked with Chinese, Japanese, or South Korean languages?  How well does SalesLogix support these languages?  Is there anything that we would need to be aware of?  One of our customers is asking us about this and I am not finding much on it anywhere.

Thanks for the help....

Re: International Language support

Seriously? 87 views since it was posted in January of 2012 and not 1 single reply? Where is product support on this?

  • Are these languages supported in the data?
  • Are they supported in the UI?

Re: International Language support

Yes, they are supported in both Unicode and multi-byte environments. There are some limitations for Unicode, which are outlined in C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\SLXUnicode.chm.

Thanks

Re: International Language support

Is there any chance of getting that file from you? I do not have the new client installed and I need answers before I can do so.

Re: International Language support

Steven,
As well as the chm file, there is a Unicode white paper that you will find helpful. The version for 7.5.4 is available on the Partner portal. The version for the new 8.0 release is available to those who are signed up for Beta\RC.

Re: International Language support

The .CHM file has been around for quite a while. I'm unable to post the file. Please check your SalesLogix folder.

Thanks
