Auto Population of Account in the other entity

Hi All,

We have Sage SalesLogix version 7.5.3.4343 installed which I recently upgraded from 7.5.2 version. I am facing an issue with auto-population of Account Id into another entity (Compressor).

  1. The Account and Compressor are related to each other in 1:M relationship.
  2. I have created AccountCompressor grid under Account entity.
  3. The Compressor entity works same as that of SalesOrder.
  4. There is a Add button on AccountCompressor grid. On clicking of which Insert Compressor screen gets open.
  5. On InsertCompressor screen there is Account lookup using which user can select Account and Save the values and navigate to CompressorDetail screen.  This works perfectly for me.
  6. My problem is that when Inserting Compressor from the Account, I wanted to auto-populate the Account name in the lookup.

I am unable to find the root cause of issue. Any help/suggestions in this regards will be appreciable.

Regards,

Dinesh

Re: Auto Population of Account in the other entity

you want to add a script on the LOAD action of the Add form that populates the AccountName into the compressor.Account property.

plenty of examples on how to do this are up here so I won't write the details....
