SLX Throwback

I have been searching high and low for a copy of the old SalesLogix SDK project. It was still available on the Sage site before the switch-over. The one I am looking for has an example of every slapi function.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Re: SLX Throwback

You mean like the one in the 7.5.0 install DVD? Or the 7.5.4 install DVD?

Re: SLX Throwback

You mean the one we used with VB6, SLAPI dll based - right?

AFAIK teh last release was a 5.x one.. but it (should) work w/the latest SLX as well.

I have it (as well as full installs for just about everything going back to 3.x).

For legal reasons - of course.. can't post it to a public forum.

Re: SLX Throwback

RJ, It is on the DVD? The VB6 project, not just the SLGXAPI.DLL.

Yes, that one, RJ Ledger. I know the library still works. Two RJ's in the same thread gets a little confusing Smiley Happy

Re: SLX Throwback

RJ Samp, The SDK on the DVD is the .NET versions. I am loking for the old VB6 version that used teh SLGXAPI.DLL.

To confuse you a bit more (RJS & I do this to people ALL the time.. and have been doing so for quite a while ;-) .. so I will post a response to your post which was a response to RJS.. but really meant for me....

  A - It has the VB sample/example(s)...

B- The Slapi dll is NOT part of the SDK.. You have to use the "correct one" for the version of SLX you are running against.. and that typically in the the "server tools" part of the install.. and lands in PF/SalesLogix... You probably want to put a copy in the Windows/System32 directory so it will be in the "standard" Windows Search Path.

DidI succeed in confusing you more?.. If not I can try a little harder ;-)

Re: SLX Throwback

RJL,
It is good to know that you guys do this to everyone and not just us old guys.
Perhaps I was not clear. I know where the SLGXAPI is located and I am aware that the correct version needs to be used with the right version of the application. What I am looking for is the old VB6 SDK project. It used to be available from the FTP site but it is not there anymore.

Thanks,
Steve
