With regard to the stack trace, the PDBs.zip (included with Saleslogix installation files) should contain a .MAP file for slxotl32.dll. Copy the correct slxotl32-XX.MAP file to the location where slxotl32.dll is installed and rename it slxotl32.MAP. The next time this error is encountered the log should contain correct stack information.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks Mike - I will do!
This is happening on a random basis. So I will copy them in before I shut down my latop (in a few minutes). Then when I boot up (tomorrow - Saturday - NAH! .. Monday - probably ;-) I'll be all set to catch it!

MIke.. I may have stepped into something here..
I was just applying Web Model Update 03 to our test/demo VM image.. and ran across a ref to an update to slxotl - it seems there are some things of interest here:
a - there are PDB's w/this distribution/update
b - the update ONLY refers to "WEB".
Item "b" is the issue - I believe...
Web Model update 03 has slxotl version 8.1.0.1422
SNC 03 update has slxotl version 8.1.0.1416
ALSO.. if a meeting is created IN Outlook - (ex: a meeting invite come in or if you just create a meeting in outlook and it has no contact) it is NOT synching back to SLX - we are not seeing any errors, etc - this worked fine in the Intellisync version

RJ,
Ok, thanks fo the update. Regarding the sync issue, was that also the behavior before you applied the update?
Thanks
Mike

If you are refering to the Web Model update.. I have NOT applied it to my production system (where the remote resides).
My concern is that I am getting ready to upgrade a customer that has several remote offices and a copuple of remote users (plus the "local office") all on teh WIndows client.. and I am seeing a couple of issues that are preventing me from proceeding:
a - random failure of Outlook Sync
b - meetings created IN Outlook not synching back (to SLX)
c - an update (Model 03) that has a higher version than a Remote user has - and no update path documented to handle it
d - nothing in the on-line kb

Ok, thanks for the information. I'm unaware of these issues and Outlook Sync is not my area of expertise unfortunately; I would suggest opening a ticket if you have not already. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks Mike - What suprises me is that I have "heard" of others seeing the connect failure.. but except for my posting there's appears to be no one else posting about itnor is there ant info in either the (portal)KB or defects/issues listed (AFAIK).
