Is it possible to use email templates using
Failing that, is there a way to programatically send email messages with attachments. SLX LAN Client 7.5.4 with current hotfixes and patches.
See related thread for what I am doing. Users now what rtemplated text in the body of the message. I figure a template gives them the flexibility to change as needed so I'm not hardcoding message bodies all the time.

Once I did mine I stopped using the "built-in" because it is just too limiting.. now one can do just about anything they want or need to do.

Ok, now for a tangentially realted issue.
Using outlook to send HTML email with attachments. (see the link in my OP for details).
Does Outlook automatically send multi-part mime comliant email. My concern is sending trash to to a customer that suffers with an outdated email server/client (You know they're still otu there). Marekting guys are putting the pressure on sending HTML formatted emails. Programmer/Nerd preferences aside, I can't fend this one off and I really don;t want to send trash to customers.

Here is another approach I have successfully used:
Set objOA = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
This is used in the customization we developed to send emails from our "knowledge base" (which is part of SalesLogix) to individuals.

In response to the original question, the e-mail templates are strictly designed for use with mail merge and cannot be used with the Que* methods. The mail merge method MergeFromPluginEx can be used to send attachments (you pass an array of AttachIds); in addition, the mail merge method MergeFromFile will allow you to send an attachment from any location (i.e. Attachments path, Sales Library, or local client file system).
