Converting Lead to Account/Contact fails to set DoNot flags

SLX 7.2 LAN client

I've just noticed our marketing Groups, configured to include only Contacts with DoNotSolicit and DoNotEmail set to "No" are not producing a correct list. Upon investigation I have determined that Contacts created by users do have these fields set to "No", but Contacts created by converting Leads leave these fields blank or <NULL>.

I cannot see reference to this in the Known Issues document. Can anyone confirm this as a defect or is this something we inflicted on ourselves with customization? We're upgrading to 7.5 and rewritting all customizations. Does this happen in 7.5 LAN or Web?

Re: Converting Lead to Account/Contact fails to set DoNot flags

In 7.5.2 it's explicitly not carried over either (see VBScript SystemSmiley FrustratedLX Lead Support).

So it's "Implemented As Designed"

If you want to carry them over (along with a LOT of other fields that are not carried over ) you will have to customize it.

Re: Converting Lead to Account/Contact fails to set DoNot flags

Thanks for the feedback

So, to resolve this, I either need to run a nightly script to set all blanks to "F" or modify my Groups to look for the opposite of DoNotWhatever="F".

Re: Converting Lead to Account/Contact fails to set DoNot flags

Nope.. just simply customize the (vb) script (for SalesLogix Windows).

For web you have to go into the AA...
