Calculated Date field - using in group condition

I created a calculated date field using SQL DATEADD function and it returns the correct data successfully. What I'd like to do now is use this calculated field in a condition for defining a group (opportunity group if it's important) -- for example <CalculatedField> within next 90 days. Unfortunately when I add the field to the Conditions tab, it shows up as a Decimal field and won't even accept a static date -- i.e. equal to 1/1/2011.

Is there any kind of workaround to use this calculated date as a condition for a group?

BTW - using LAN client 7.5.2.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Calculated Date field - using in group condition

A couple of Work Arounds:

  a) Use an SQL View on which you include a field with the Calculation, then Enable the View within DB Manager, On your Group, Join the View and work with your Date Field.             (Should work with Remotes).

  b) Use an SQL Calculated Field instead of a SalesLogix Calculated Field.  (Not sure if this will work with remotes).
