Re: frequently there is need to restart to IIS

I had no explanation from my BP on this one and even knowledgebase had nothing as to "why."  It just gives you a resolution (which is annoying because sometimes I like to know why before I do things).

I have scheduled a daily task to reset IIS on my web server and it has been running pretty well ever since (no hang ups).

Re: frequently there is need to restart to IIS

I wouldn't necessarily suggest to do it daily, whithout meassuring the need for it.

Basically, I start with Weekly, and if there are still any crashes, move to twice a week. from there, if the issue keeps on ocurring I would suggest to go once a day.

Now, there may be other things to do as well that need to be taken into account. For instance, I would use Additional Instances and use some sort of Load balancer. This would keep each instance's utilization lower, and decrease the frequency of the Restarts.
