Is there a way to delete multiple contacts at once? Or do I have to open each contact individually to delete it?
Thanks.

Hi,
There is indeed!
Create a Contact group containing the Contacts you want to delete then go to:
Tools - Maintenance - Purge Records (assuming you have access to this menu)

If you do not have access that means your SalesLogix Administrator has locked you out of it.
Contact Your SalesLogix admin to obtain rights.

Another avenue to follow, especially if your administrator does regular cleaning of the data is to use the PURGE status for your contacts, accounts, and opportunities. This way your administrator can create groups based on the status = purge and remove them periodically.
As I am an administrator for my company, this was a great approach as it stopped me from receiving countless emails requesting that I remove records one at a time. I am sure your administrator will enjoy receiving less emails as well

We typically suggest to our clients that they:
A - Create a Team that will be a "purge/delete" team
B - add a "rule" (logic) such that the SECCODEID of the contact (account, opp, etc) is set to the purge/delete team on a change to a specific status, etc.
result.. the user(s) no longer can see (or physically delete) that record but it's still in the db
