I am new to Saleslogix and would like to set up a process for adding new LEADS and then notifying the assigned sales rep that they need to follow-up and begin working the it. I can add new leads properly but i was hoping someone could suggest a way to notify my reps that i have assigned a new lead.
Any suggestions of help is greatly appreciated.

You will need to use a 3rd party application like Orbis TaskCentre to achieve an automated process like this.
