When sending large email mail merges we have hit MS Exchange limits that have prevented the emails being sent or have stripped out images or attachments from the emails.
Modifying the MS Exchange settings allows us to send the mail merges - but we have noticed performance degradation generally on the MS Exchange server after changing these settings - and so have changed back.
Has anyone else experienced these limits/settings with MS Exchange and can you advise how you have worked around it. I.e. has modifying the Exchange Settings worked ok, is there other ways to bypass these limits, or is no-one sending such large mail merges?
The mail merge is for around 1000 emails, running on SalesLogix v7.0 with MS Exchange Server 2003.

Thanks for your time.
We haven't got any specific measures - the client has reverted the MS Exchange settings and will work around the limits sending smaller mail merges rather than continuing to investigate the performance issues.
