Crystal Reports Server on Windows 2008 64-bit

SLX 7.5.2

Based on the compatibility checklist, this appears to be unsupported - can anyone confirm please?

Thanks.

Re: Crystal Reports Server on Windows 2008 64-bit

In the newer (7.5.2) compatibility checklist they mention that Crystal 2008 is supported on Windows Server 2008. Is SalesLogix compatible with Crystal 2008 though?

Thanks,
Justin

SalesLogix ships with Crystal Reports XI R2 SP3. I cannot give you a date at this time as to when SalesLogix will be upgraded to use CR 2008, however, we know this is an important upgrade, and we are prioritizing it accordingly.

Re: Crystal Reports Server on Windows 2008 64-bit

Here we are, a year later and Sage has done nothing with regards to upgrade Crystal Reports to work with Windows 2008 64-bit.  I am certainly glad that they are prioritizing this... NOT!

I have been running CR on a 2008 64-bit box since last September with the assistance from Sage.  Today, the CR server is acting funky and very slow when trying to produce reports.  Some how the app pool was missing and I had to re-add it.  When I called tech support, I was told that they did not support this and wanted me to redo that server back to 2003.

My understanding of a technology company is to stay current with technology.  Sage seems to lag considerablly behind in that area.

Upgrade to CR 2011 slated to be in Sawgrass release. This will resolve the compatibility issue with Windows 2008.

With the introduction of CR 2008, support for the COM interface was discontinued. We will be using their .NET technology moving forward.
