I'm wondering how to use the competitor functionality within SLX Salelogix Web 7.5.2. I see that you can add a competitor type account, and you can add a competitor to an opportunity. However, it does not appear that you can add a competitor account created in CRM under the competitor tab in an opportunity. How are competitors added to an opportunity? Is it a separate pick-list that the administrator maintains? Is the out-of-box competitor report based on this pick-list? What is the value of adding competitor accounts if you can not associate them to an opportunity?

This functionality did not exist in 7.5.2 Web. It is included in the recently released 7.5.3 release. In 7.5.2 you would need to manage competitors in the LAN client.
