We are on SalesLogix v18.104.22.16833 and have installed the LAN client on two Dell Windows 7 laptops and have run into various issues in relationship to Outlook. We had to run the Outlook installer in the command prompt as an admin but this does not seem to carry over to the user. On one laptop when starting Outlook it returns the error message, Database Login Failed: Authorization Failed" but if you click on the database icon and click the button, Test Connection it returns a message that test was successful. On the other it experiences various error messages. See the attached document. Mainly for that one the button in Outlook to SLX does not work. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues. Can anyone suggest anything.

Well got one laptop resolved by turning off the UAC. On the other one it is a bit of a puzzle. Can start the SLX client and log in just fine. Not a problem. However when starting Outlook and the SLX log in box appears it says "Database Login Failed: Authorization Failed" but if I go to the database setup and do a test connection it says connection successful. Any thoughts on that one.

Check to ensure backward compatability is installed..
if it is 64 bit make sure you ran the backward compatability in no joke "compatability mode" get there by right click
