VPN Clients cannot see SalesLogix 753 on Windows 2008

I need help..

 

I have installed salesLogix 753 on  a Windows 2008 R2 server. All of the network clients are working fine .. However, my VPN clients cannot see the database or the server when I try to configure salesLogix.. The server is shown on the network

Have you tried shutting down the built-in firewall in server 2008 to see if that is doing it?

Sounds like a pure networking issue.. not a SalesLogix one if the "locals" can hook up ok.

I have shut down the firewall.. I still have the old production equipment up and running 7.02.. I cant see that either.. even when I create a test udl file..

Not knowing anythig about what you have setup for VPN techhnology (and please do not publish it here in an open public forum), I'd suggest you need to talk w/your network folks or bring in an outsider.

The VPN and remote access has been in place before this installation. All the users can get connected to the network, but cant see the new  SalesLogix server.
