Swiftpage Plugin won't work with 7.5.3 -- Procedure to Roll Back from 7.5.3 to 7.52 or 7.5?

We're currently running 7.5.3 with the Swiftpage emarketing plugin, and it's not working -- definitely some bugs and incompatibility for us (i.e emails appear to be sending multiple times / writing to history multiple times for no reason, survey data doesn't come back to SLX at ALL). Swiftpage claims that the plugin works with this version of SLX, but does not support SLX versions 7.5.2/3. Sage doesn't officially support third party plugins, obviously, so I think my only option here to get this working is to roll back my version and then deal with Swiftpage directly. 

 

That said, I'm unsure what the process is for this. Do I need to do a complete reinstall of Saleslogix on the server and all client machines?

 

[EDIT] Has anyone gotten the Sage Emarketing plugin to work with 7.5.3 -- to import survey data? It looks like it might work in 7.5.2, says it's been fully tested, so if I can just go back to 7.5.2 I would be happy.

If you are on v7.5.3 you should be using the new OEM version of the Swiftpage plugins that is directly supported by Sage SalesLogix. 

 

Rolling back SalesLogix is not a good (or easily achievable) thing since the SP has already altered the Schema/metadata of your main db and you cannot (easily) un-do that.. nor should you even try.

Looks like I spoke too soon. It appears to be the same version available on the Swiftpage site, and it still doesn't work. 

 

So there's no way to use this plugin with Saleslogix v. 7.5.3?

It really is not the same.. it is (slightly) different and supports Windows/LAN as well as web - even "hybrid" -start in web.. work in LAN.. go back, etc..

 

.. and it is supported by Sage since it is an OEM deal.

 

Now if the issue is Swiftpage in general then there are other choices out there. 

 

 RadishTools (http://radishtools.com) has a great integration with one of the top e- marketing tools - Exact Target. Walter monitors the community or just give him a shout.

Thanks for the input. I'll call Sage back and ask for clarification on that;  I did try the OEM version and didn't get any further with it, so hopefully they will help me out.

Sorry to hear that it's still giving you issues. At it's "core" the OEM version is basically the same Swiftpage but does have some differences. I want to say that the area you are having issues is one of them. Tech Support should be able to get you squared away.. or maybe you have found a new bug ;-)

I am interested to hear the resolution to this.  We are on 7.5.2, thinking of moving to sp3, but at the same time want to pull in our current emarketing tool from a stand alone system.  The manual syncing of information is just too much.  Is it working today with sp3?
