SLX 8.1 and sql 2005

Are there any known issues when using slx 8.1 lan 7 web (no remotes9 with sql 2005 server?

Yes, there is one known issue - don't use anything other than SQL Native Client for MS SQL 2005. If you upgrade that to 2012 (on both ends) of the Native Client (only) then SLX will assume you are using SQL 2012 (not 2005). It will then break groups due to features introduced in 8.1 for SQL2012 specifically around pagination.

 

Keep the provider/named clients as SQL2005 and you should be fine.

Hi Mike,

 

Thaks I was aware of the sql2012 issue.

We will not intend to upgrade any native client on the pcs or servers, so all should work fine.
