Hi,
We have install a Saleslogix Web 7.5.3 with Active Directory authentication on a 64 bits server. The website is accessible from Internet.
The client asked to install the Report Server on a different server ( 32bits). Is there something special to do, so that the users can use the reports functionality from Internet or if I follow the procedure in the installation guide, it will be Ok?
Thanks

The (latest) compatibility guide is very specific... to implement (crystal) reporting services you need a 2003 server - 32 bit. There is a footnote on getting a different (SP) of teh crystal code to be able to run on a 64 bit server.
Even w/64 bit the best practice id to NOT have reporting services on the same web server as SalesLogix Web. Adhoc running of reports will take a BIG hit against the server and could impact normal web usage.

Thanks for your answer. There were yet no report server installed before because they had no windows 2003 32 bits available.
So we asked them to install one.
My question is there anything special todo in the reference of the web server (IIS Target settings). Should the users introduce again a login and password to view a report from the internet?
Thanks

You have to make sure that your report server is accessible from the internet.
And the name has to be the same from internal and external, as you need to configure a report url in AA.

Hi,
we try to install the Report Server on the Windows 2003 32 bits and we receive the following message :
"The wizard was interrupted before the SalesLogix Web Host could be completely installed" error installing web components.
We apply what it is indicated in the solution of Sage, but no result.
Possible Resolution 4:
The error can occur when installing the SalesLogix Web Reporting Server components.
On the Server there is also a AntivirusServer Software (MacAfee). is this a problem ?
Thanks
