On-Premise migration route

Hello,

We are currently running 7.2.2 On-Premise and are looking at migrating to the latest version of On-Premise 7.5.4.

Could someone let me know if this is an incremental move requiring more than one install (and if so, to what version)?

Or can we jump directly to 7.5.4?

Thanks in advance.

Re: On-Premise migration route

Yes.. and no...

7.5 SP4 will NOT upgrade anything prior to 7.5.0 - You have to go to 7.5.0 and then do SP4.

Now if you are moving to a new server at the same time, you can just run SP4 up (it does a FULL install) to do the job. The same is true for  LAN/REMOTE clients.

You also have to run up the latest HF's on TOP of 7.5.4.

Just finished doing a couple of these upgrades for customers. If you have done SalesLogix upgrades in the past (Windows/Web) then you should be ok. If you have not I strongly suggest you get some seasoned professional help from someone who has.

Re: On-Premise migration route

From the 7.5.4 Implementation Guide:

If you are upgrading from a version prior to version 7.5, you must first upgrade to version

7.5.0 before upgrading to version 7.5.4. Use the appropriate upgrade documents on the

SupportOnline\Sage Software Online Support and Services Web site

(http://support.saleslogix.com) to upgrade to version 7.5.0.

Thanks, Emma
