After suffering a complete nightmare for a few days this week - AVOID this edition at all costs.
Causes major issues with mail-merge
"Mail-Merge encountered an error and cannot continue. There was an issue in EditAfter. The document is not associated with an ActiveX document server."
A normal mail-merge (without edit after) works - it's the invocation of Word as the editor post-merge that's the issue. Installing normal Office 2013 Professional Plus (I would expect Standard to work also) solves the issue.

Hello Mike,
Was there an official explenation from Swiftpage?
Possible a defect number?
I think I have the same issue here, only in version 8.1
Maybe there is a solution or a work-around in update 02.

Thanks for your reaction.
I will make some test with different version of Office 2013.
At least I know I am not the only one with the issue.
FYI:
Cannot find any restriction notes in the latest compatibility guide, version April 2014 v2.
In the Windows client chatper, Word Processor is Qualified for Office 2013 (32-bit only) for both Version 8.0(6) and 8.1.

Look at very bottom of doc - page 24, item number 28: I believe this is the issue (but well hidden!)
28 Click to Run for Office 2013 /365 is not supported in Saleslogix v8.0.

Any word on when this will be fixed yet?

It is supported for 8.1 for Web and Offline client users

Thanks Mike, I can tell you it's grown by 3 accounts in the past two weeks though - and that's just my current upgrades.
The release of XBar is driving some upgrade demand finally.

I have 8.1 and all SNC and Web and Core updates applied for a client, and they are sitll experiencing the issue, unfortunately.
