Here's a fun one.

I get this error when a User attempts to open a LAN Client Form where the footer type on a column is set to cstSum

It only happens on 1 computer regardless of logged in user so it is definitely machine dependent.  Same user can log in to other computers and form works fine.

here is the error

An error occurred executing active form script (System:Add Edit SalesOrder).

variable is undefined: 'cstSum'

cstSum is a keyword

from architect help

Column Footer

Used for:

Sage SalesLogix controls. This property does not apply to the Legacy objects.

Description:

Determines the type and format of a DataGrid footer.

The Column Footer window contains the following two properties:

Footer Type <script type="text/javascript"></script>

Select the footer type from the following values in the dropdown menu:

Value

Action

cstNone

Footer summary is not used (default value).

cstSum

Sums the values of footer summary fields.

cstMin

Displays the minimum value of a footer summary field.

cstMax

Displays the maximum value of a footer summary field.

cstCount

Displays the count of nodes. You do not need to determine the summary field.

cstAvg

Displays the average value of a footer summary field.

so no definiton should be required, and as stated, this works on all other machines.

Version is 7.5.4.7203

Wer've tried repairing salelogix lan client and uninstall/reinstall with all hotfixes. Any Ideas?

Re: Here's a fun one.

Version is 7.5.
SP 4
Build 7203 (Hot fixes through HF 10 applied)
OS = Windows 7 64 Bit
I have other 64 bit windows 7 machines that do not exhibit this behavior. This is the only one.

Re: Here's a fun one.

Check the regional settings on that machine?  Because if you already suspect environmental and because the cstSum also uses a currency format perhaps there is some weird setting for currency in the rs?  It's just a guess though.

Region Settings

Region Settings are English (United States) as expected and same as working machines.

Unfortunately this is our software testers machine and if things don't work for him, things don't get released.

I have made no changes to this particular form in quiote a while.

Are there any other forms that use a column footer with footer type set to cstSum? I want to verify that this constant is dead on his machine and the problem is not in the form.

Re: Region Settings

I did a search in Architect for the cstSum and there was something with the Dashboards.  I didn't go any farther with that.

I did check defects for you and there was nothing there.

Re: Region Settings

That won't fix it. The issue is environmental (pc issue). Rebuild machine, will solve it (cstSum is a constant and it can't be resolved correctly). Or, go to windows update and patch everything to hilt. That still may not fix it though.
