Re: Database login failed:invalid object name systeminfo

A few points:

A - The "PINGSERVER" value is automatically set by the "Connection Manager" . You should never have to set it manually. If you have to, then there are things going wrong.... usually caused by someone using the connection manager from another machine to grab database access.

B - When using SQL 2008 you must make sure you have (manually) installed the SQL2008 client components (driver) on all SalesLogix servers and all SalesLogix client app systems.

C - Seting up the Connection Manager w/a SQL2008 database requires a specific (manual) procedure executed in a specific order. The requirements are more than just stepping thru the (Microsoft) datalink wizard. SalesLogix documents cover this.

HINT: Persist Security Info and Inetgrated Security.

Re: Database login failed:invalid object name systeminfo

Thanks RJ for the reply.  This was my first installation on SQL 2008.  Patrick shared with me that I needed to install and use the SQL 2005 driver from the redist folder on the CD.  As soon as I changed the driver all was working again.

You should be using the 2008 driver.
